Goals & Purpose  

Welcome to the Emporia State University Accounting Club website. ESU’s accounting program is designed to prepare students for careers in public,
private or governmental accounting. Accounting Club serves to support the
goals and future employment opportunities of students by offering a connection to real-world professionals who serve as mentors for the next generation of accounting professionals. As evidenced by the club logo, our goal is to add value
to the student experience, creating a balance of needed information to succeed in the profession.

As a member of the Accounting Club, both undergraduates and graduate
students benefit by being a member in one of the largest student organizations on campus.

As an officer, you have the opportunity to develop leadership qualities: leadership is a highly sought after quality especially in an ever-changing business environment. 

As a member, you will be exposed to employment opportunities and job requirements: a variety of guest speakers including Certified Public Accountants present up-to-date information and skills needed to get-ahead in the profession.

Additionally, as a member you will have the opportunity to network with other students, alumni, and professionals in a social setting: this is a great opportunity to improve communication skills and broaden your educational knowledge of the language of business.
