Mu Pi Omegan Newsletter Dear Pi Omega Pi Members: Thank you for returning the alumni information forms for the 2001-2002 Mu Pi Omegan. We enjoyed reading about your experiences during the past year. All of your contributions are sincerely appreciated. The current members of Pi Omega Pi have been involved in a number of campus activities, and have especially enjoyed the fellowship we have in Pi Omega Pi. Members helped introduce speakers at the Annual Computer and Business Teachers Conference, introduced teachers at Career Day, participated in the Homecoming Parade, and had two initiations. Our organization also collected canned food items for the Salvation Army during Thanksgiving and rang bells and sponsored a family during Christmas. A number of Pi Omega Pi members are also volunteering in the MASTER (Mentors and Students Together Embracing Reading) program at the Lowther North Intermediate School in Emporia. We have found that it is extremely rewarding to make a difference in students' lives. Decorating a bulletin board for Pi Omega Pi, collecting money for the Campus community Scholarship Challenge, and putting on a "Sunday Supper" are also among the many projects that the Mu Chapter has been involved in this year. Currently, Mu Chapter is helping to prepare a "School of Business Fun/Information Day" with the School of Business Student Committee. We are also looking forward to attending the NBEA/PI OMEGA PI conference in Dallas, Texas in April. In preparation for the conference, Mu Chapter sold Home Interior candles in the fall and are currently selling Watkins products. If you would like to see the wide variety of products that Watkins has to offer please visit www.watkinsonline.com/esupop. We thank Dr. Hoffman for his continued leadership, support, and guidance. We would like to give a special thanks to the members of the Chapter. Please continue to keep in touch with us and share your activities! Sincerely, Jennifer R. Owen, President Mu Chapter *************************************************************************** EMPORIA STATE UNIVERSITY
