School Counselor Center

School counselors can receive direct help thanks to the Kansas legislature and Emporia State University’s Department of Counselor Education and Rehabilitation Programs in The Teachers College. Human resources from Emporia State University and financial resources from the state have been linked to establish the School Counselor Center at Emporia State University.

Housed within the department is the School Counselor Center. This center assists practicing school counselors by offering consultation services, providing bibliographic information, supplying counselors with materials and media on a wide variety of topics, and sponsoring in-service conferences and workshops. The center is another component of the school counseling emphasis at Emporia State University that contributes to the department's leadership in the field of school counseling.
