Rehabilitation Resource Center
The Rehabilitation Resource Center (Earl Center, Room 222) includes the
various training materials, books, periodicals, and videos that are used
in department
classes.
These resources may be checked out by students preparing research papers
or reports. The rehabilitation-related information available in the Center
has increased significantly during the thirty-two years that the academic
programs in rehabilitation have existed on campus. It serves as the repository
for numerous textbooks and reference guides/monographs on a wide variety
of topics in the field of rehabilitation.
It is housed in the department library/resource center in the Earl Center
and it provides easy access to many resources that are used frequently
by students
majoring
in one of the programs in the department. Students are encouraged
to check-out materials from the Center and to browse the resources for
information of special interest. Materials may also be available to agencies/programs
not directly associated with the university. Approval for use of materials
off-campus should be obtained from the Director of Rehabilitation Programs
or the Chair of the department.
Books, monographs and reference guides are cataloged by:
(1) author
(2) subject
(3) alphabetically by title.
Journals are indexed alphabetically. Generic counselor education references are cataloged by subject.
- The Center does not replace the White Library on campus.
- The White Library provides on-line search services as well as publication records on microfiche and other storage media.
- Students are encouraged to review the materials available in both the White Library and Rehabilitation Resource Center.
