What is Community Hornets?
The Community Hornets department is dedicated to connecting Emporia State University students, faculty and staff to service projects in the city of Emporia and surrounding communities. Through its service programs, Community Hornets is committed to engaging campus life in the opportunity and reward of volunteerism at the local, regional, and national levels.

Recognized Student Organizations
All Recognized Student Organizations are required to complete and submit 20 hours of community service per academic year. These 20 hours must be split between 10 hours of on-campus service and 10 hours of community (off-campus) service.
