Application

Please pick up an application at the Communication Department office, King Hall Rm. 201. Return the completed application to the faculty advisor offering the internship credit.

Field Internship I

To qualify for Field Internship I (SP 474/475), a student must meet the following requirements:

  • Have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours
  • Have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Have completed 12 hours of communication course work
  • Have completed and filed an Internship Application
  • Have the prior agreement of a Communication Department faculty member to offer SP 474/475

Field Internship II

To qualify for Field Internship II (SP 574/575), a student must have met the following requirements:

  • Have completed a minimum of 75 hours of credit hours
  • Have earned a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Have completed 18 hours of communication course work, including SP 474
  • Have completed and filed an Internship Application
  • Have the prior agreement of a communication department faculty member to offer SP 574/575

Applications will not be accepted unless all information is complete. If you are uncertain of your coursework or grades, please check this information online. Students must complete a learning agreement before enrolling for internship credit.
