ESU Alert: Emporia- Water main break update- Repairs to the water main break are ongoing. The parking lot west of Science Hall and Cremer Hall is closed, January 24, 2017, due to repairs and safety concerns. 15th Avenue from Merchant Street to Morse Drive is closed due to ongoing repairs in the road.
Be prepared to take an alternate route to campus today, January 24, 2017 and the days following. If you usually park west of Science or Cremer Hall, be prepared to park in alternate lots throughout campus. Traffic on Merchant Street may be affected due to ongoing repairs today and the days following.
Water should be available throughout campus, but reduced pressure is possible. If you encounter a water outage on campus, report that information to University Facilities at 341-5331.

Glen Strickland has been an Associate Professor of Communication at ESU since August, 1986. Prior to arriving at ESU Glen directed national debate programs at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma and the University of Denver. Additionally, he served as News Director of radio station KOGA in Nebraska as as news, sports and director of productions at radio station KMUS in Oklahoma. Strickland did his master's work at Baylor University and Northeastern State University. He received his undergraduate degree from Northeastern State. Additionally, he received a degree in radio/television broadcasting from Signal Broadcasting in Denver, Colorado. Glen has published over eighty high school debate research books. He also has authored over a dozen articles for professional journals. He is the CEO of his own debate publishing company the (N)ational (D)ebate (T)opic Company. Glen has developed numerous courses for the Division of Communication including Principles of Radio/Television Broadcasting and Online Communication.
