Professor Emeritus of Communication
Ed McGlone came to ESU in 1987 after holding teaching and administrative positions at Wayne State University, Southern Illinois University and Mississippi State University. He did his undergraduate work at Ohio State University and his Ph.D. at Ohio University. Ed has published several books and many articles reporting research in communication. He received an Outstanding Young Teacher Award (many years ago) from the Central States Communication Association, a "Top Three Award" recognition for research from the National Communication Association, the Paideia Award for faculty excellence from Mississippi State University, and ESU's 2004 Liberal Arts and Sciences Award for Excellence in Teaching. Ed teaches courses in conflict resolution, research methods, communication theory, and public speaking.
