Susan Brinkman is a writer, photographer, wife, and mom. She has served in various roles on the Emporia State University campus including a three year stint as the Director of Admissions. In addition to her work in the Center, Susan teaches photography in the Department of Art. She is actively involved in the Emporia community and serves on the United Way Allocation Committee and the William Allan White Community Partnership Marketing Committee. She is an enthusiastic member of several book clubs.

Originally from Lenexa, Kansas, Susan arrived in Emporia in 1990 and aside from a short stay in Minneapolis, MN for graduate school, has never left. She and her husband Jason have an amazing son, Ian and they are proud to call Emporia their home.
