Bill Rau
Perhaps because I live in a heavily wooded area of Maryland, I especially like the vastness of the Great Plains and the arid regions of the Western United States. My focus is eclectic, but I seek to capture images of old barns, buildings, rural life, and what I call the lesser visited areas of the U.S.
Photography brings me closer to subjects I find interesting and beautiful. It takes me to places and puts me in situations I might have otherwise missed. In essence, photography gives me a wider world for exploration and adventure.
I'm currently President of the Silver Spring Camera Club. I use Canon equipment and have been working with digital imaging for about 5 years. I love the flexibility of digital.
