***Registering with Emporia State’s Career Services gave me the guidance I needed to attain an internship in my field. After registering with them, I had access to potential employers that were coming to campus to seek prospects such as myself. I could find out what each employer was searching for, where they were located, and a description of the position. When a new employer would sign up for interviews, Career Services contacted me, informing me who the employer was, when they would be coming to campus to interview, and what they were looking for. They even helped me shape up my resume to best reflect my experience and abilities. I felt like they were really working to help me attain my desired position! After only a few interviews, I was hired on as an intern at a small local accounting firm, and after a successful internship, was offered a full time position pending graduation!
