Fall 2013 Inquiry-based Close Reading  to Prepare Upper Grade Students

Close reading means reading reflectively. This session will focus on close reading strategies that support reader engagement, promote inquiry-based reading practices, and promote critical thinking at the foundational level.

Strategies taught in this activity-based workshop will help teachers teach students the close reading skills they will need to meet the demands of increasingly complex texts crucial to the KCCRS.
