The Office of Multicultural Affairs of Emporia State University and the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Committee is pleased to announce plans for the 2013 Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration events, to be held all day on Monday, January 21st in Emporia, Kansas.

The day events will include featured children’s group facilitator Jacqueline Corbett from Junction City, KS & guest speaker Pastor Delmar White from Lawrence, KS.  Several Emporia State University students & the Lyon County RSVP Retired Seniors will be volunteering & participating in the day’s event.

The Celebration March will begin at 5:00pm at Emporia State University Plumb Hall and the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Dinner will follow at 5:30pm at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 730 Sylvan St. in Emporia, KS. 

These events are open to the public and are free!
