Take Back the Night is an impactful program put on by Panhellenic this year partnered with SOS, 3rd floor Central Morse, and SAFE. We will be having clinical psychologist Anna Salter come and talk about sexual violence and how we, as women, can take back our power and not become a victim to sexual violence and how to respond if we do!

Any non-perishable items will be collected at an informational table which will be set up all week from 11am to 1pm on Mainstreet of the Memorial Union. The Center for Student Involvement will also be accepting these items during open hours. 

All items donated will be taken to the local Salvation Army to help fight hunger.  Information regarding local and world hunger will be distributed at the table. 

Stop by our table to donate and pick up a life-saver candy.

Emporia State University Glass Guild would like to invite you to the 2013 Glass Blowout featuring visiting artist Ross Richmond. Ross will be demonstrating from 9:00 to 12:30. Demos will resume at 1:30 and continue until 5:00. From 5:30 to 6:30 there will be a barbecue and live music provided by the ESU Glass Guild followed by our annual live auction at 7:00. The auction is a great opportunity to purchase artwork from past visiting artists and help support the Glass Guild. Feel free to invite your friends the event is open to the public. Thanks!

We are having our last meeting of the semester on Monday, April 22nd at 5:00pm in SH 156.  We will be having a pizza party to celebrate, announce the new executive board and officers, and have an open forum discussion on what to improve and see for next year. Come join us at the Inner Bean for an evening of exposition as we seek a God-honoring, Biblical perspective on the topic of Homosexuality.  Pastor Dave Hintz from Flint Hills Christian Church will be joining us on Wednesday April 24th to lead us through this endeavor.  We hope this be an enlightening evening filled with good fellowship and discussion as we seek God's truth through His inspired Word, the Bible.  So please, bring a friend and grab a drink as you settle in for a great evening of teaching.

Emporia State University Newman Division of Nursing along with Emporia Fitness and ESU American College of Sports Medicine student organization is hosting the 2nd Annual Dog-N-Jog 5K run/2 mile walk to promote healthy activities for both owners and their dogs.  Don't have a dog? Don't worry, all are welcome to participate. Early or on-site registration is $10 with or without a dog. Registration forms can be picked up at the following locations: Emporia Fitness, Emporia Recreation Center, Genesis Health Club and ESU HPER Building. T-shirts ($15.00) can be pre-ordered by April 8, 2013 or can be purchased on race day (limited quantity and size).

Join SOS Advocacy From ESU (SAFE) for a movie night and discussion.  Bring a drink, snack, and friend with you as we plan on showing TED Talks and “Who the (Bleep!) Did I Marry?”. Discussion will include a focus on the DC Sniper and the growth of one of the victims.

This event is a great way to learn about domestic violence and the trap that an abusive relationship can create.

16th Annual Super Custom Car Show will be held Sunday, April 28, 2003! It will be located on the 10th and 11th blocks of Commercial St.  There are many different categories being judged this year; Antique, Classic, Domestic, Corvette, Street Rod, Hot Rod, Low Rider, Muscle Car, Imports, Camaro, Trucks, SUV, Under Construction & Miscellaneous.  There will also be judging for Best Paint, Graphics, Interior, Club Participation, & Sound off Stereo. The entrance fee for each category is $20. 

There will be plenty of family entertainment provided as well including Zumba performances, Mexican dance groups Raices Hispana Folkloris Dancers, live music, and Clint Bowyer's stock car will be making an appearance. No Admission Charge!  Through out the day tickets can be purchased to be entered in drawings to win more than $700 worth of items!

Proceeds will go to the ESU General Academic Scholarship Fund & ESU Karate Club.
