Careers for the Future
The demand for IS graduates continues to be high, and the long-term future of IS professions is bright. Starting salaries are, on the average, the highest of any of the business majors, and among the highest of all college graduates.
The IS major provides diverse career possibilities. IS graduates find jobs in virtually every area of business, government, and education, with opportunities in small or large firms involved in regional, national or world-wide trade. ESU graduates have found exciting professional positions with
- data communications companies
- energy production companies
- service-based organizations
- manufacturing firms
- financial institutions
- health care companies
- government agencies
- educational organizations
ESU's IS graduates are among the most sought after in the field. Annually, many businesses and government agencies send recruiters to campus to interview students. Recruiters hire ESU students because they know our students are well prepared, talented, and highly motivated.
