Mr. Larry Falcetto
Associate Professor of Accounting
Emporia State University
The international business concentration is comprised of classes that are relevant to the International Business world, with instructors who are devoted to their students. It is a very valuable concentration to obtain.
The international business faculty work closely with Career Services. Throughout the year, recruiters from business firms and government agencies come to campus to interview seniors. In addition, faculty will work with you to help you connect with companies in the field of international business. You will have the opportunity to attend workshops and seminars both on and off campus to develop contacts with professionals in a variety of international fields.
In addition to your academic studies, you will have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience by participating in an internship coordinated through the School of Business. Emporia State's School of Business has developed excellent relationships with businesses throughout Kansas and in other states which are engaged in international business.
Shanna Smith, Overland Park, Kansas, participated in the six-week summer program at the Université d'Auvergne, Clermont-Ferrand, France. "The job interviewers were very impressed that I would take the initiative to participate in an international experience in order to see how the business world works not only in the U.S., but in other nations as well."
Connie Richards, Emporia, Kansas, participated in the Puebla, Mexico program. "By going to Mexico, I have met many people and learned how the people actually are and what you should do or not do. I have used and applied to my studies the knowledge and experience I have gained from this trip. This experience has made a difference on how I view international business and the world."
