School of Business website!
We are pleased with the past and excited about the future of our School of Business. The School is fully accredited by AACSB International at both the undergraduate level and the MBA level which puts us in the upper 20 percent of business schools worldwide. While we are pleased to be among the nation's best business schools, we are actively moving forward on several new initiatives.
We have opened the Center for Business and Economic Development which is providing teaching, research, and service in such areas as entrepreneurship; a speaker series; and workforce development. Our students are accomplishing many great things:
- A student team won the 6th Global XBRL Academic Competition and was recognized in national media.
- Our Phi Beta Lambda students won various awards at a recent statewide competition.
- Our Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team are looking to improve on their "Rookie of the Year" Award at a business plan competition last year.
Our faculty possess a fruitful combination of academic and business experience. We recently filled our new endowed Chair in Finance position. Currently, we have secured a location and are "open for business" in the Kansas City area. We have the only online Master of Business Education program in the region. So, as you can tell, we are moving forward on many fronts in an effort to continuously improve the quality and prestige of our degree programs.
