Community Outreach


Besides offering a wide range of traditional business courses, the School of Business has several unique course offerings designed to meet the needs and interests of the community.

Examples include:

  • Quality Principles - This class examines how a business can ensure and promote high-quality products.
  • Historical Perspective in Business - This class covers management techniques of the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, and Chinese, as well as the earliest banking systems of 15th Century Florence under the Medici.
  • Computing for Seniors - This class assists senior citizens with home computer skills.

Community Involvement

Several programs operate based on the needs of the community. These include:

  • Center for Business and Economic Development
  • Center for Insurance Education
  • Kansas Business Hall of Fame
  • Small Business Development Center
  • Volunteer Income Tax Service
