About Business Administration
In your degree program at Emporia State, you will take classes in accounting, computer information systems, economics, finance, international business, management, and marketing. This program of study gives a general background in many areas of business administration to prepare you for a variety of jobs.
In addition to your academic studies, you will have a chance to gain on-the-job experience through two programs offered by the University.
- In the Cooperative Education program, you can be placed in a job position related to your major. You not only gain valuable hands-on experience, but also receive credit toward your degree and earn money for your education. Positions are available in Emporia and surrounding areas.
- You may want to participate in an internship coordinated through the School of Business. Emporia State's business internship program has an excellent relationship with businesses throughout the state that help students benefit from the experiences they receive in a work setting.
