2005 Outstanding Alumni - Ken Hamby


 

Ken graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1995. Ken and his wife Melissa and their two children currently live in Hutchinson.

Upon graduation from Emporia State in 1995, Ken joined the accounting firm of LIndburg and Vogel in Hutchinson. In 2001, Ken was admitted to the firm as a shareholder -- an extraordinary achievement to go from staff accountant to an ownder of the firm in only 6 years.

At Lindburg and Vogel, Ken has a variety of responsibilities but is primarily involved with providing assurance service -- auditing. Many of his clients are agricultural based but other clients include professionals and manufacturers. He has clients that have revenues which range from a few thousand dollars to several hundred million dollars.

Ken Hamby

Ken is active in his community having been involved in the United Way and assisting his church as a men's ministry leader.

He was co-chair of the finance committee for the 2002 U.S. Women's Open at Prairie Dunes and is currently Chair of the finance committee for the 2006 U.S. Senior Men's Open also scheduled at Prairie Dunes in Hutchinson.
