    Jill Breckenridge has won many awards for her work, including Loft-McKnight Writing awards in both creative prose and poetry, a Bush Foundation Fellowship, and Minnesota Arts Board grants in two separate years. Her poems have appeared in many journals and anthologies, and Civil Blood, her novel in poetry and prose, was published in 1986 by Milkweed Editions. She lives in St. Paul, Minnesota.
