Undergraduate Research Support
ESU Biomedical Campus Scholars
Students are nominated by faculty and selected as K-INBRE Biomedical Scholars by the campus coordinator. The awards include scholarship and research support for each semester they spend working in the laboratory of one of the K-INBRE mentors. Eligible students are identified by the K-INBRE mentors and agree to present their research at the annual K-INBRE research symposium (usually in January).

K-INBRE Summer Scholars (Annual Application Deadline is March 1)
Student/Mentor jointly prepare research proposals which are evaluated by the Director of the Undergraduate Support Core as well as the Director and Associate Director of the K-INBRE. Students selected for this program show great promise to pursue graduate programs in Cell and Developmental Biology (the scientific focus area of the K-INBRE).

NEW for 2010: ESU Summer Undergraduate Research Program ESURP
K-INBRE STAR Trainees (Annual Application Deadline is March 15)
Students in this program will be identified early in their junior year in a college and are supported with a scholarship of $7,500 during their senior year and $2,500 in research support. Additionally $10,000 will be provided to help support the student during their first year of Graduate School at a Kansas university. Thus, this program seeks to bridge undergraduate and graduate training and provide a seamless career path.
