Tips to Help Reduce Test Anxiety
- Study in small chunks.
- Review your notes twice a week.
- Have a positive self talk dialogue to help you get through anxiety.
- Quiz yourself after each study session. (Twice is better)
- Highlight important terms and their definitions in the book.
- Use the margins of books and notes to make notes to draw the text and the instructor together.
- Make outlines of the chapters and use them to help you study.
- Make flash cards to help you study terms, names, and dates.
- Talk to the Professor if you are having trouble in their class.
- Use the help labs on campus. (The reading lab, writing lab, and the math lab are all examples.)
- Get plenty of rest before the test.
