Assistant Coach
Ping Wang
Jiangping “Ping” Wang begins her third year as the assistant coach at Emporia State after spending two years as a graduate assistant with the Hornet volleyball program.
Wang played two years at NAIA power Columbia (Mo.) College before finishing her career at Palm Beach Atlantic University. She earned all-Sun Conference honors as a junior and senior at PBAU and was an NAIA all-region selection as a senior.
While finishing her degree in business administration at PBAU, Wang coached club volleyball and was named the Palm Beach Juniors Coach of the Year in 2002.
She earned her master’s degree in health, physical education
and recreation while serving as a graduate assistant at ESU.
Wang is married to the Hornets’ head volleyball coach, Bing Xu. The couple has a daughter, Grace.
