Assistant Coach Kim Edwards is in her second season on the Hornet coaching staff as a graduate assistant after four successful seasons with Emporia State.
The Sioux City, Iowa, native helped rewrite the ESU record books during her time on the court and she now holds the all-time Hornet record for assists with 5,754 and assists per game with 13.29.
She was a first-team All-MIAA setter as a senior and for her efforts, named the MIAA Specialist of the Week four separate times in 2005. Her league-leading 1,489 assists in 2005 included a stretch of 13 matches where she had at least 50 assists.
Edwards also excelled in the classroom and was a member of both the ESU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the MIAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll in 2005-06.
