August 28, 2009 -- The #3 Emporia State volleyball team finished their first day of the Nebraska-Omaha showcase with a 3-0 sweep of Dallas Baptist. Arica Shepard had her second straight double-double with 13 kills and 10 assists as she hit .458 for the match.
Brittney Miller had nine kills for the second straight match hitting .368 on the afternoon. Megan Leuger added seven kills and also had seven digs. Ting Liu added 37 assists to go along with five kills. Amy Byfield had her second straight double-digit dig game picking up 12 for the match-up.
ESU, who earlier in the day knocked off North Alabama 3-0, will face Eastern New Mexico when play resumes tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. in Omaha, Neb.
