The Hornet attack was led by two freshman as Brittney Miller had 17 kills and hit .306 on the night and Brianne Boner hit .429 and had 16 kills and five blocks for ESU. Both Boner and Miller set career highs in kills on the evening. Also in double figure kills were Megan Koster with 13 and Arica Shepard with 11. Hannah Carter had five kills and four blocks for the Hornets in her return to action following an injury. Ting Liu had 54 assists for the Hornets and also finished the night with four kills and 16 digs while Megan Koster had the team best in the match with 17 digs.
The Lady Hornets will next play in St. Joseph, Mo. against Missouri Western at 7 p.m. on Sept. 29. Their next home match will be on Oct. 2 against Southwest Baptist from W L White Auditorium with first serve set for 7 p.m.
