Arica Shepard had the 14th 20+ kill match of her career as she averaged five kills per game in the match while hitting .235 for the match. Shepard was joined in double figures by Brittney Miller, who has gone for double figures in back to back matches, who had 14 and Megan Koster who had 10 kills.
Brianne Boner and Hannah Carter combined for 14 blocks on the night including five block solos. Ting Liu had eight kills in the match to go along with a match high 63 assists, it was her sixth match with 60 or more assists this season. Amy Byfield had a match high 25 digs and also came up with a service ace for the Hornets.
Allie Cherven was one of four Bulldogs in double figure kills as she finished with 21 on the night. Amanda Holliday and Ashley Petak both came in with 29 assists in the match. Truman will now face Pittsburg State in the MIAA Tournament final on Saturday.
The Hornets will wait to find out if they advance into regional play as the selection are announced on Monday morning. The Hornets were ranked fifth in the region coming into tonight's match with Truman.
