ESU VOLLEYBALL FALLS IN FOUR GAMES TO #7 UCM
September 4, 2007--Emporia State took game one before dropping the next three to #7 Central Missouri in MIAA volleyball action Tuesday at White Auditorium. Megan Koster had 14 kills and 21 digs to lead a balanced Hornet attack. Arica Shepard totalled 13 kills and 19 digs while Brianne Boner added 14 kills and ten digs. Amber Yoder led UCM with 17 kills.
The Hornets took game one by a score of 30-21. The Jennies then rebounded to win the next three games 30-22, 30-13 and 30-24.
The Hornets played in front of a season opening crowd of 415 in White Auditorium. This was the largest crowd for a home opener since the Hornets beat Washburn 3-0 in front of 433 fans in 2001. ESU will play this weekend at the UWF Argonaut Regional Crossover in Pensacola, Fla. befor returning to White Auditorium on September 12 to take on Missouri Southern.
