HORNET WOMEN WIN TABOR INVITATIONAL

April 16, 2009-The Emporia State track and field teams sent skeleton crews to the Tabor Invitational on Wednesday and came away with the women’s championship and a runner-up finish on the men’s side. The women had seven event championships and the men captured five individual titles.

 

Jaclyn Sill won the 100m and 200m while still training through meets after sitting out the indoor season.  Renae Weaver had a provisional qualifying jump of 18-08.75 to win the long jump.

 

Matt Koelling won the triple jump at 47-07.50 to provisionally qualify in his first outdoor competition of the season.

 

A select group of Hornets are in action in California this weekend at the Mt. SAC Relays, Azusa Pacific Invitational and VS Athletics Beach Invitational.
