TWO ESU MEN EARN USTFCCCA ALL-ACADEMIC HONORS

July 7, 2009-Two Emporia State men's track and field athletes were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. To qualify for the team the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met the NCAA Division II indoor or outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard in their respective event.
Alex Pyle won the MIAA indoor championship in the high jump and provisionally qualified for the national meet bot indoors and outdoors. He has a 3.52 GPA in mathematics.
Kevin Rouhlac provisionally qualified for the national meet in the hammer throw. He holds a 3.97 GPA in social science.
They were among 15 student-athletes named to the Men's All-Academic team from the MIAA. The women's list was released earlier this week and five women from ESU were named to that team.
