HORNETS HAVE SIX TOP THREE FINISHERS AT MIZZOU

January 9, 2009-Josh Honeycutt won the men’s triple jump to lead ESU to six top three finishes at the Missouri Invitational in Columbia, Mo. on Friday afternoon.
Honeycutt won the triple jump by over two feet and placed second in the long jump for the Hornets.
ESU took second in both the men’s and women’s high jump. All-American Craig Saalfeld placed second with a jump of 6-4.25 (1.94m) for the men while All-American Jennifer Robinson leapt 5-2.25 (1.58m) to place second for the women.
All-American Kenton Lonberger and Katie Mona provided the highlights on the track for ESU. Lonberger won the 60m dash with a provisional qualifying time of 6.83 and placed fourth in the 200m for the men. Mona was third in the mile run and also placed eighth in the 3000m for the ESU women.
ESU is scheduled to be back in action next weekend at the KSU Wildcat Invitational in Manhattan, Kan.
