April 18, 2008-The Emporia State track & field team had two provisional qualifiers in two different states on Friday. Connie Philips placed fourth with a throw of 145-00 (44.19m) in the javelin at the Kansas Relays, while Jaclyn Sill provisionalled in the 400m with a time of 56.80 at the Azusa Pacific Invitational in Azusa, Calif.
ESU had a total of six top eight finishes at the KU Relays. The Hornets 400m relay team of Larry Beamon, Josh Honeycutt, Travis Lee and Kenton Lonberger qualified for the finals with a time of 42.46.
