ROSSBACH SETS ANOTHER SCHOOL RECORD

April 20, 2008-Running less than 48 hours after recording the fastest time in the nation in the 10,000m, Jonel Rossbach broke the ESU school record and got an automatic qualifier in winning the 5000m at the VS Athletics Beach Invitational on Saturday night in Long Beach, Calif.

Rossbach’s time of 16:56.21 in the 500m breaks Susan Stine’s school record of 17:10.49 set at the NAIA Championships in 1986. She is now one of four Division II runners under 17 minutes this season.

 

The win capped off a successful trip to California for ESU who also got a provisional qualifier for Jaclyn Sill in the 400m at Azusa Pacific.
