ESU OPEN MULTI-EVENT COMPETITION

Entries: Entries are going to be done by email. Please email entries to dharris@emporia.edu by noon, Monday April 6.
Confirmation: An email of competitors will be sent to each school by 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 7.
Entry Limit: Please enter athletes that can compete at a high Division II level. Meet director has the authority to limit field within reason to stay within time frame of meet. Multi-Event fields will be limited by meet director. Teams competing in the D-II Challenge, April 11, 2009 will be given first preference.
Entry Fee: Multi-Event athletes, separate from team entry, $20.00 per athlete. Entry fee based on entered athletes, please scratch before deadline to not incur fee. Make checks payable to ESU Athletics. No unattached or open entries on team entry fee. Pay entry fee when picking up packet.
Check-In: Please pick up coaches packets (heat sheets, instructions, scratch form, etc.) in the north concession stand immediately upon arrival (no additions). A revised time schedule will be based on entry numbers.
Weigh In: Throwing implements will be weighed in under the east stands. Weigh in will be Thursday, April 9 from 2:00-3:00 only. Bring all implements at one time; make sure implements are marked with school name.
Awards: Awards to top 3 in decathlon and heptathlon.
Facilities: A.T.G. Olympic polyurethane surface with eight 42" lanes. Jumping areas are all polyurethane; shot and discus areas are concrete; javelin area is polyurethane.
Spikes: 1/8" or 1/4" spikes only.
Results: Results will be available shortly after the conclusion of the meet at the north concession stand. Results will also be available on the Emporia State Track & Field web-site, www.emporia.edu/athletics/track/.
Scoring: Multi-Event is counted in team scoring with D-II Challenge. This is the fourth year we are going to score the multi events with the D-II Challenge in order to offer all of the NCAA events at the national meet. Open and unattached athletes will not count in the scoring.
Trainer: Trainers will be available during the meet to administer first aid. Please bring your own athletic tape and other necessary supplies.
