ESU SENDS FOUR TO USA CHAMPIONSHIPS
June 29, 2009-Katie Mona’s sixth place finish in the 3000m highlighted Emporia State’s stay at the 2009 USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships.  Mona was one of four Hornets competing in Eugene, Ore., the largest contingent ESU has ever sent to the junior nationals. ESU MEN PLACE 20TH IN NATION
May 23, 2009-Senior Connie Philips set a school record in the javelin in the final meet of her career at the NCAA Division II National Outdoor Track & Field Championships in San Angelo, Texas. As a team the ESU men placed 20th and the women 36th in the final standings. Final ESU Results Meet Notes

GINTER RETURNS TO ESU TRACK & FIELD
May 22, 2009-Emporia State head track and field coach Dave Harris has announced that he will be welcoming back a former assistant to his staff.  Rick Ginter, has agreed to serve as the throws coach at ESU beginning with the 2009-10 season. Complete Release
