ESU FAMILY TURNS OUT FOR CANDLELIGHT VIGIL
November 5, 2009-Over 750 Emporia State students, faculty and administrators participated in a candlelight vigil in honor of Sam Williams on Thursday in Welch Stadium. He had been missing since Sunday when his motorcycle went off the road.

July 22, 2009-Emporia State head track and field coach Dave Harris has announced the completion of his coaching staff with the hiring of Steve Blocker as the head assistant coach and the addition of three new graduate assistants for the 2009-10 school year. Complete Release

ESU ATHLETES NAMED USTFCCA ALL-ACADEMIC
July 6, 2009-Seven ESU track and field athletes were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.  To qualify for the team the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met the NCAA D-II provisional qualifying standard in an event.   Women's Release Men's Release
