ESU SPLITS AT UNO

April 18, 2009-The Emporia State tennis teams split at Neb.-Omaha in MIAA action on Saturday. The Hornet men won 6-3 for their first regular season win against an MIAA team since defeating then conference member Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri S&T) 5-4 on March 15, 2003 in Rolla, Mo. The ESU women lost 9-0 to UNO for their first nine match shutout in MIAA play since falling 9-0 to Truman on April 17, 2003 in Maryville, Mo.
Both the Hornet men and women will play host to Washburn on April 21. First serve from the EHS Courts is set for 5:30 p.m. Senior Jose Vaca will be recognized prior to the dual.
