#25 HORNETS SWEEP SECOND DAY OF ACU CLASSIC
February 14, 2009 -- The Hornets took their final two games of the ACU Classic on Saturday in Abilene, Texas. The took the early game 8-5 over St. Mary's. They then took their afternoon affair against Northeastern State by a score of 7-2.
In the early game Miranda Campbell, Jenna Potter and Jennifer Dace all had two RBI to lead the Hornet offense. On the mound Megan Dennis went all seven innings to pick up the win.
In the second game Lindsay Bowers had three RBI along with three hits while Linda Ketter added two RBI in a pinch hitting appearance. Jennifer Heerey went all seven innings striking out nine to the earn the win.
ESU will next be in action when they head to the Southeastern Oklahoma Tournament on Feb. 20-22.
