NWMSU ADVANCES WITH 11-INNING WIN OVER UCM
May 8, 2008-Northwest Missouri eliminated #24 Central Missouri with a 1-0 win in 11 innings in the first elimination game of the NCAA North Central Regional Softball Tournament in Emporia, Kan.
Erin Leslie scored from second base on an error in the top of the 11th to give the Bearcats the lead and Kelly Morris worked around a one out triple in the bottom of the frame.
Morris went the distance for NWMSU scattering ten hits but did not allow a walk and struck out ten.
NWMSU will play the loser of the Emporia State vs. Neb.-Omaha game at 8 p.m. on Friday night.
