SWMSU KNOCKS OFF NWMSU IN EXTRA INNINGS
May 8, 2008- Amber Burkhart singled in Erin Dickhausen with the game winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Southwest Minnesota State a 3-2 win over Northwest Missouri State in the first round of the NCAA North Central Regional Tournament in Emporia, Kan.
SMSU will take on Winona State in a winner's bracket game at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. NWMSU will play Central Missouri in an elimination game at 8 p.m. tonight.
