HORNET SOCCER FALLS 2-0 TO TRUMAN
November 5, 2009 -- The Emporia State soccer team fell to Truman 2-0 on Thursday at ESU Pitch. The Hornets were outshot 18-1 in the contest though they did not allow a shot until the 20th minute.
TSU got their first goal in the 23rd minute and their second came in the second half during the 51st minute. Amanda Miano had the only shot for the Hornets as she fired one on goal during the first period. Katrina Goscha finished with five saves and the team added another when a shot was headed away by Jessica Decker.
ESU will face Missouri Southern on Senior Day Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. from ESU Pitch. Seniors Raquel White, Tina Commons and Amanda Miano will be recognized prior to the match.
