HORNET SOCCER DROPS HOME OPENER TO SBU
September 24, 2009 -- The Emporia State soccer team fell in the home opener 3-0 to Southwest Baptist. ESU outshot SBU 4-0 over the first 20 minutes of the match.
The Bearcats got on the board in the 38th minute and scored again during the 59th minute. ESU finished with four shots on goal, one each by Amanda Penney, Amanda Miano, Ashley Hill and Raquel White. Nikki Schmiz finished with 12 saves on the afternoon.
The Hornets will face Central Missouri on Sept. 26 at 1 p.m. from ESU Pitch.
