October 29, 2009 -- The Emporia State soccer team was outshot 16-10 on the day, but finished with eight shots on goal in a 3-0 loss to Missouri Western. Rain came down throughout the match as ESU could not capitalize on their shots on goal, seven of which came in the first half.

MWSU got the scoring started in the 24th minute with an unassisted goal by Jessica Martin. They followed that up with an unassisted goal by Ashley Jaravich. In the second half they scored one more on a gola by Audrey Henderson with an assist by Jessica Martin.

For ESU Tina Commons had a career high four shots on goal as Jessica Decker, Amanda Miano, Raquel White and Sarah Anderson also added shots on goal. Katrina Goscha finished the match with 11 saves.

ESU will face Washburn on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. from ESU Pitch.
