HORNETS FALL ON THE ROAD AT CENTRAL MISSOURI
September 27, 2008 -- The ESU soccer team fell 3-0 on the road at Central Missouri. ESU was outshot 15-2 but got two corner kick opportunities.
UCM scored twice in the first period and got their third goal in the 79th minute. For ESU Alicia Smith had a shot on goal while Tina Commons came up with the Hornets only other shot. Jennifer Stillmock had five saves in goal for the Hornets.
The Hornets are 3-6 on the season and will next be in action when Missouri Southern comes to town on Oct. 2. The match is scheduled for 4 p.m. on the ESU Pitch just north of the Student Recreation Center.
