HORNETS LEAD EARLY IN LOSS TO SBU
September 25, 2008 - The Hornets got five shots, four on goal and two goals in their 4-2 loss to Southwest Baptist. The Hornets had the early lead as they scored in the 14th minutes on a Tin Commons goal. They scored their second goal in the 67th minute when Marcie Fundis connected for her first goal of the season on a penalty kick.
Alicia Smith was the only Hornet with more than one shot, while Alison Germany got her second assist of the season good for the team lead. Jennifer Stillmock had 12 saves in her second game after returning to the Hornets line-up.
ESU will next be in action on Sept. 27 against Central Missouri at 7 p.m. in Warrensburg.
