HORNETS EARN SECOND CONFERENCE WIN
October 30, 2008 – The ESU soccer team earned their second MIAA win with a 1-0 victory over Missouri Western. The Hornets outshot the Griffons 16-12 and got eight shots on goal. Goalie Jennifer Stillmock earned her shutout of the season and second for the team on the year.
Alicia Smith added her fourth goal of the season in the 71st minute of the contest. Smith finished with six shots in the game and was joined by Sarah Anderson and Alison Germany who each had two shots.
The Hornets will remain on the road where they will face Washburn on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in Topeka, Kan.
