Thanks to the past officers and all their hard work this year: Shelley Marsh (Soccer), Megan Dennis (Softball) and Justin Wieser (Football).
Spring brings to mind prom season, as SAAC puts on the 3rd Annual Senior Prom for the local senior citizens of Emporia. Over 100 senior citizens enjoyed an evening with the student-athletes listening to the tunes of the live Tall Grass Big Band.
Continued Make-A-Wish fundraising this semester with Goodie bags and spare change drive helped bring the total given to Make-A-Wish this year to 1,332.71.
Nominees for the NCAA Leadership Conference were Keith Maples (Football), Brett McBride (Baseball) and Kirsten Ford (Tennis); with our participant this year being Brittney Miller (Volleyball/Basketball). Brittney will attend the conference in Orlando at the end of May. We look forward to her return with great tools to be a leader here at ESU.
