Danny Cavender
Tight Ends/Strength & Conditioning

 

Danny Cavender is in his sixth season with the Hornets and also serves as strength and conditioning coach. He is a certified strength and Conditioning coach. Emporia State has set numerous records in the weight room under coach Cavender’s guidance. He has coached one first-team All-MIAA player at the tight end position.

Cavender, a Clay Center native, started his coaching career as the offensive and defensive lineman coach at Northern Heights.

He played at Butler County Community College where he earned All-Jayhawk Conference honors. A 1995 graduate of Clay Center Community High School, Cavender was an All-State selected offensive lineman both his junior and senior years.
