HORNET MEN FINISH FIFTH AT MIAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

October 24, 2009-Will Hohmeier and Skyler Delmott each earned honorable mention All-MIAA as Emporia State placed fifth as a team at the 2009 MIAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Jones Park. The ESU women placed eighth as a team.
This was the first time Hohmeier has finished in the number one position for Emporia State as he placed 12 th overall. Delmott, who has battled a hamstring injury for the past two weeks, finished in the top 20 for the fourth straight year with his 17 th place finish.
Kathryn Davison finished 24 th overall to lead the ESU women. Katie Mona was the second runner for the Hornets in 31 st place.
ESU will be back in action at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships on November 7 in Abilene, Texas.
