JOCK’S NITCH ESU CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL

RACE SCHEDULE:

5:00 pm University and Open Women 5K

5:30 pm University and Open Men 8K

6:10 pm Open Men and Women Fun Run 2 mile

6:30 pm Awards Presentation and Results available

ENTRIES AND SCORING:
The first five runners will count in team scoring and sixth and seventh runners will count as displacement scores. Entries are unlimited, but only your top seven finishers will count as team scores. Open teams are welcome and will be scored in team competition. No entry fee/no awards- 2 mile, time your own runners.

ENTRY DEADLINE:
All entries must be postmarked no later than Friday, September 26, 2008 or you may fax your entries by Tuesday September 30, 2008. Please enter only athletes you plan to run.

ENTRY FEE:
$15.00 per individual $75.00 per team (men and women teams separate)

AWARDS:
Team scoring will be announced in all divisions, but no team awards will be given. Top 20 in the men and the top 20 in the women finishers will receive t-shirts. Awards sponsored by Jock’s Nitch, Emporia, KS.

LOCATION:
Jones Youth Recreation Park . Lincoln and 24 th St. From interstate 35 take Merchant St. exit (Hwy 99) south to 18 th. West on 18 th to Lincoln. North on Lincoln to park. Turn left into the park and take Y to the left. Start and finish are on south edge of park.

SHOWER FACILITIES:
Locker rooms are located in HPER Building on ESU campus. Bring your own towels.

THE COURSE:
Rolling hills, small trail areas, creek crossing, all grass except for crossing some roads in park. Maps will be available on meet day.

MEET RESULTS:
Results may be picked up 30 minutes after the last race at the course.
